Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci has achieved the second Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) out of the 17 SDG international goals in 100 hours by feeding over 4000 people. This act of humanitarian service would take a combination of different international non-governmental organizations to come together to achieve such.

 

Miss Baci has proven to the world that it is not about how wealthy or rich you are, but about the love you spread to your immediate environment. Hilda believes that everybody deserves to eat well-prepared meals even if they cannot afford it. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she provided over 3,000 meals to less privileged communities for social impact. She has also trained over 2,500 students in the culinary arts, giving prizes and incentives to the best-performing students. All these act of kindness shows how passionate Miss Baci is to every human being and she has happily spreads the love to the world through her cooking skills.

 

Miss Baci has made a name for herself in the Nigerian food industry. Despite starting her career as a chef just recently in 2020, she has managed to build a successful brand for herself known as Myfoodbyhilda. She is a multi-talented Nigerian TV producer, actress, head cook at FoodbyHilda.

 

She started her journey to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon from May 11, 2023 and ended it May 15, 2023 which was featured on live-streamed show on multiple social media channels where Hilda took over 250 recipes.

 

Miss Baci said that “the journey to the cook-a-thon started five years ago. It is one of my biggest aspirations and I am glad that I took the bold step to embark on this adventure. I have taken time to prepare for this psychologically and I am proud to finally take on this challenge. The cook-a-thon is also an opportunity to tell some of the positive stories that come from Africa through the meals that we make. This attempt is also proof of the strength young people can exhibit with the right platform and support. I look forward to receiving support from people across the world to achieve this feat.”
