Mrs .Salamatu Yahaya, president Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association has called for the recognition and appreciation of leaders who have contributed to the development of the nation as a way of ensuring a greater future and the nation's unity, she said sustaining and expanding the legacies of past leaders and the body is her focus across the country.

Speaking at the commissioning of NAOWA 'College Asokoro staff quarters dedicated to the body's past leaders in Mrs. Gift Ihejerika and the NAOWA five hundred capacity hall dedicated to Mrs. Martha Bamiyi for their commitment and contribution to the association's growth and success.
 
 
Mrs. Salamatu Yahaya president Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association harped on the need to recognize the sacrifices and value made by past leaders of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association and reward them, to encourage unity of purpose and continuity in the body and country.
 
 
The 27th president of the body of Army wives expressed appreciation for the support of the Nigerian Army and stated her confidence in ability of the Nigerian Army to win the war against insurgency ,banditry and all criminality.
 
 
On their part, former leaders of the body Mrs. Gift Ihejirika and Mrs. Martha Bamiyi expressed joy at their recognition and the progress made by the body, in support of achieving a better society and Nation.
 
Both  erstwhile leaders urged the body to continue it's humanitarian and developmental drive across the country to build unity and progress especially at this time of insecurity challenges.
 
Mrs. Martha Bamiyi commended the NAOWA President salamatu Yahaya for the quality of development achieved urging other leaders in the body at chapter levels to emulate the rare virtues of respect, humility, humanitarian mindset, consistency for standards.
 
Mrs . Bamiyi called on the NAOWA nursery and primary school management to make judicious use of the new state of the arts facility for various use in generating revenue for the school.
 
Mrs.Gift Ihejerika said it was a dream come true to witness the final completion of the project and advised NAOWA president to maintain her outstanding leadership drive. She also called closer ties and interaction to improve members .
 
She also rallied more support for the current leader of the body to ensure the progress of the body and nation.
 
 
Other dignitaries from Nigerian police officers wives Barr. Mrs. Vickie Anwuli and development partners also bared their minds on strides made in building the nation.
 
 
She stated that the support given to the Nigerian military through the activities of their wives and respective bodies contributes to the successful war against the insecurity bedeviling the country..
 
Mrs. Anwuli harped on the importance the officers wives task of supporting their spouses in the war front through their positive interactions with the society and their spouses.
 
Mrs. Salamatu Yahaya rewarded some outstanding members of staff of the school as other  highlights  was the launching of NAOWA's new website and series of cultural dance entertainment.
