Players of the Unity Bar Amazons, the female team of the Abuja Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association were full of joy over the weekend when Barrister Afam Osigwe (SAN) redeemed the five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000) pledge made to them during the 2023 NBA AGC held in Abuja.

Bar. Osigwe the motivational leader, had, during the last AGC donated the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand Naira to the team promising to further donate five hundred thousand Naira more if they go on to win the competition, a feat they eventually achieved.

The players saluted the SAN for his usual magnanimity and generosity, maintaining that the gift motivated and helped in no small measure in spurring on the entire team to winning the tournament.

They stressed that for marching his words with action the Unity Bar Amazons are fully behind him in his quest to emerge as President during the forth coming Nigeria Bar Association election schedule to hold later in the year.

Afam Osigwe is one of the many candidates running for the exalted position of the Presidency of the Nigeria Bar Association, (NBA) and is a great prospect for the exotic office. He is man of the people and identifies very well with both the young lawyers, the old lawyers, female lawyers. They further added that he is one man that is so selfless and suited for the challenges of the office.
