The Minister of Science Technology and Innovation in Nigeria, Dr. Adeleke  Mamora has said Funding of existing agencies in Nigeria to fill in the gaps necessary for improvement of their duties stands ahead of taking the step of establishing new ones.

Mamora answering questions regarding the proposed establishment of a National Innovation Agency noted that the decisions ends only in the multiplication of duties and is bad for a system that should be collaborative and innovative.

He insisted that reviewing the existing acts of the current agencies should be focused on and properly funded.
