Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, JTF, have neutralized 19 Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Ngala Council of Borno State.

The border settlement with Cameroun is 235 kilometres east of Maiduguri, the state capital.

The terrorists were killed on Tuesday after soldiers overcame an ambush during a patrol of Dikwa-Gambouru axis.

No fatalities were recorded on the side of the troops, as only two soldiers were injured and evacuated for treatment at a Maiduguri hospital.
