Mrs Hauwa Gambo, candidate for House of Reps, Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State, has urged the electorate to vote for women candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Gambo spoke on Thursday while addressing a news conference in Kaduna.
She said it was imparative for Nigerians to realise that it was possible to collectively decide the nation’s fate.
“This we will do in a couple of days by electing a new set of leaders that would herald the activities of Nigeria in the next four years,” she said.
To this end, Gambo urged Nigerians to vote for credible women vying for elective position, adding, “women are nurturers, they have empathy and are home builders.
“Nigerians, please, shine your eyes and vote women like myself into elective positions.
“The quality of people we vote for to represent us determines the quality of leadership we will get.
“If we want to change the narrative then, we have to change how we vote and who we elect,” Gambo maintained.
