In order to effectively curb Oil Theft in the Niger /Delta region, the minister in charge of the regional Affairs ,Engr. Abubakar Momoh on Wednesday play host to Asari Dokubo.

The minister said their primary topics of discussion include regional peace and strategies to combat crude theft, which has been detrimental to Nigeria’s oil production. 

"During our meeting, Alh. Asari-Dokubo, who holds significant influence as a political figure, provided valuable advice and expressed his commitment to supporting me in my role as the Minister of Niger Delta Development.

"This morning, I furthered my consultations with stakeholders in the Niger Delta region by meeting with Alh. Asari-Dokubo, a prominent figure among the Ijaw ethnic group. 

"I want to extend my sincere gratitude to my gracious host for his warm welcome and valuable insights during our meeting today. His support and advice are greatly appreciated as we work towards a better future for the Niger Delta region and our Dear Country."
