Tour operators in Nigeria on Friday urged tourists globally to visit the numerous sites in the country for a memorable experience.

The tour operators said this at the Naija7wonders Webinar Conference organised by Ikechi Uko, Organiser, AKWAABA Africa Travel and Tourism Market in Lagos.

The theme of the conference is: “Where to Visit in Nigeria”.

One of the operators, Olanike Mustapha said there were over 200 interesting tourist sites in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state.

Mustapha said places to visit in Oyo State included Ilaji Resort, Tunde Odunlade Art Gallery, Adamasigba Stadium and a whole lot of other fascinating sites.

”Oyo State and specifically Ibadan, is loaded with beautiful tourism sites in areas like medical, sports and cultural tourism.

”Ibadan has over 200 tourists’ sites beginning with a visit to one of its local cuisine, Amala and Gbegiri, which tourists look forward to enjoying.

”Life is all about creating memories, which makes life interesting and extraordinary; so I advise all to visit Ibadan,” she said.

Mustapha urged parents to engage their wards in exploring tourism sites within the country as this would enrich their knowledge of places.

She noted that this would also help to stabilise their emotions, regardless of what they might be going through.

Another tour operator, Mr Bethel Moseglad, Chief Executive Officer, Nature Connect, explained the fascinating sites to visit in Taraba state.

According to Moseglad, the Mambila Plateau, Gashaka Gumti National Park, the Colonial Burial Ground and more, are places to visit.

He said each of the sites were well endowed with zoos, museums, caves and more.

"Taraba state is a place to be; the Mambila Plateau is the highest point and settlement in West Africa.

"This is the place where temperate fruits grow well. We have over 100 waterfalls at the Mambila Plateau, snakelike river, different rock formations and lots more mysterious structures,” he said.

Regina Ahaiwe, Founder, Riggi Travels and Tours wants tourists to explore sites like the Ogbunike Cave in Anambra and the National War Museum in Umuahia in Abia.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this is the second Naija7wonders webinar since 2020.
