Head of Service: Aduda Commends Wike For Appointing Female, FCT Indigene

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has been commended for appointing first female and an indigene of FCT as the Head of the FCT Civil Service. 

A former Senator representing FCT, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, made this commendation at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the Acting Head of Civil Service of FCT, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, Joy Murna Obadiah with her heartrobe, Victor Haruna in Abuja. 

Aduda, who made the commendation, described Wike as a trail blazer that has given a sense of belonging to the original natives of Territory, thereby making them to participate in scheme of affairs. 

While expressing appreciation for the uncommon opportunities given the natives, he said that this has gone a long way to heal some of the open wounds. 

Aduda also described the Head of Service as a refined bureaucrat, loyal and dedicated public servant with the required capacity and experience needed to aggressively drive the public service reforms being carried out by the Minister in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.

Senator Aduda, who was the father of the day at the ceremony, advised the new couple against bringing in third parties in their marriage.

He counselled the couple to always seek God’s face in moment of challenges.

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Mandate Secretary of FCT Area Council Services Secretariat, Bitrus Lawrence Garki, advised the couple to love and cherish each other as well as guard against unhealthy habits that affect marriage institutions.

He reminded the couple that the marriage institution was established by God for sustainability and should be respected. 

Similarly, the Chairman of the Bwari Area Council, John Gabaya, urged the couple to keep the devil off their union.

He opened the eyes of the couple to the subtle influence of Satan in the institution called marriage.

Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretaries, the Permanent Secretary of FCT Transportation Secretariat, Mrs. Florence Okwonkwo, advised the new couple to make God the Alpha and Omega of their marriage.

She said that in the past, parents had always advised their daughters to respect and cherish their husbands without passing the same advice to the males, however, it has become imperative for the same admonition to be passed to the male child.

Meanwhile, the Head of the FCT Civil Service, who is the mother of the bride, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, affirmed that indeed she was fulfilled, seeing her daughter walking down the aisle.

Adayilo, who thanked God profusely for the success of the event, told the daughter to put to practice the godly virtues she has practiced and instilled in her over the years.

She pledged to remain eternally grateful to the Minister of FCT for according her the opportunity to prove her leadership mettle. 

While thanking all the top Management Staff, the entire Staff of the FCT Administration and all those that travelled far and near to support her.
