NSCDC trains 32 female special squad to fight crime in Bauchi

The Bauchi command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has trained 32 special female squad to fight criminal activities in the state.

NSCDC’s spokesperson Adamu Garkuwa on Friday said the squad would complement efforts of the command in investigation, prevention of crime and women related cases.

He said the squad would be inaugurated on November 2, adding that the initiative would improve service delivery by the NSCDC in the state, helping the corps to be proactive.

Speaking on plans for the ember months by the command, Mr Garkuwa said it had intensified efforts towards ensuring adequate protection of citizens and their properties.

“All necessary equipment and infrastructure will be adequately manned as we have been doing before now, surveillance and monitoring should also be in place,” he said.
