Gov. Mohammed hails security agencies for keeping Bauchi safe

Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi has applauded the security agencies for their commitment towards sustaining peace and stability in the state.

Mohammed made the commendation on Wednesday in Bauchi, when heads of security agencies led by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Sylvester Alabi, paid him a condolence visit over the demise of his mother in-law, Hajiya Fatima Usman.

The governor expressed confidence in the ability of the security agencies to assist his administration to protect lives and property of the citizens.

He said that his administration was satisfied with the operational mechanism adopted by the security agencies which guaranteed peace and stability as well as made the state safe and secured.

“I thank you must sincerely for the condolences you extended to us, and I am happy to see you together because you have made us safe and secured. We are happy with you.

“This condolence is an opportunity for me to say thank you to all of you for helping me as a governor, I am very grateful. May Allah continue to reward you abundantly.” he said.

The governor pledged his administration continued support to the security agencies to enable them to discharge their constitutional mandate effectively.

Earlier, Alabi said that he was accompanied by the Director, Department of State Security Service (DSS) and Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), to condole the governor.

Others were the Controller, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Commandant, National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The deceased, Usman, was the mother of the governor’s first wife, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed.

Usman, 75, died on Monday after a protracted illness.
