Mustapha called for a renewed vision on the part of SSGs to ensure that dividends of democracy would  reach the masses through developmental projects.

He also called for introduction of a performance management system to serve as a tool for measurement of performances of ministries, departments and agencies in implementing policies.

“I encourage state governments to set up systems with dashboards in governors’ offices to enable electronic data collection.

“It will also help in giving real-time information on the status of implementation of projects, programmes and policies,” he said.

Lagos SSG, Mrs Folashade Jaji, said that SSGs needed to effectively collaborate on governance issues that would engender better and shared understanding of complex problems involving the people.

She said that there was the need for SSGs to work together to proffer credible solutions.
