The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has embarked on massive load-shedding amid significant reduction in the allocation of electricity from the national grid.

This was made known by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) in a statement made available to Timeline.ng on Thursday. 

The statement which said the load-shedding affects franchise area of the AEDC, called on customers to be patient as it continues to monitor the situation.

It also listed feeders and areas affected by load shedding by TCN or on their instruction. 

They include:

• 33kV Fdr H1: Garki areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 & 10. Part of CBD affecting National Hospital and environs, foreign embassies and environs.

• H37 from AT3: The entire Garki 2 and environs. 

• 11kV Fdrs from B5 & B52: Part of Wuse2.

• M2 Inj. S/S: on station service: The entire Jabi, Kado estate and environs.

• 3A & 6B from B6 Utako: Real Tower Plaza Utako, Park Palace hotel, Nugget hotel, Lusiana hotel, Customs Qtrs Utako, Utako market, kummet hotel, Aramia estate, Bef plaza, Joseph Adieu St Utako, Zakari plaza, SS qtrs, Eterna filling station.

• NIPP Inj. S/S on station service: Trade More estate Lokogoma, Brains & Hammer estate, Sunnyvalle estate, CBN cooperative estate, Apo Zone E extention.

• 1A from S23 Gudu 2: Prince and Princess estate, Kura market and environs.

• Line breaker at S23 Gudu 2: Gudu market, Amina court, Dutse Village Apo, Durumi 1, 2 & 3, Dolly Brown estate, Shell cooperative estate.

• M2 Inj. S/S on station service; The entire Jabi and environs. 

• 33kV Kubwa Fdr. Kubwa and environs 

• 33kV NIPP Fdr: Byazhin area of Kubwa, Chikakori area, FO1 and environs.

• Bwari Fdr: Dutsen makaranta, Ushafa, Bwari town and environs.

• H5 and H3. Inj. Substations on station service: The entire Asokoro and environs. 

• 11kV Fdrs 1, 3 & 4: Wuse zone 1,2,3 and part Zone4.

• Jiwa 33kV from Suleja.
