The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says fresh registration in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) has hit 6,357,817 as of 7 a.m., Monday, Feb. 28.

 

The commission disclosed this in an update on the CVR Quarter 3, Week 8 released on Tuesday in Abuja.

 

It noted that 1,461,316 registrants did online while 2,067,157 did physical registration.

 

INEC added that the gender distribution shows that 1,774,452 of those that completed their registration were male and 1,754,021 were female of which 30,285 of the figure were PWDs.

 

It noted that 2,447,998 of the persons who had completed their registration were youth between the ages of 18 and 34.

 

It also said that 10,856,321 million registered voters applied for voter transfer, requests for replacement of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and update of voter information records.

 

It noted that 5,791,037 million of the applications were from male voters and 5,065,284 million were from female voters, and 104,740 were from PWDs.
