FCTA Partners Private Sector for Staff Recognition Awards

In a bid to motivate and adequately reward staff of the FCT Administration who have been working tirelessly to keep the territory running over the years, the  Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is partnering Private Sector under the aegis of FCT  Friendly Corporate Organizations for the successful hosting of its 2021 Annual Staff Recognition Awards scheduled to hold on 9th April 2022.

Speaking during the meeting between the authorities of  FCTA and the leadership of FCT Friendly Corporate Organizations at the Conference Room of the Honourable Minister of State, FCT, Area 11, Abuja, on Wednesday 16th March 2022, the Permanent Secretary of FCTA, Mr. Olusade Adesola explained that the Administration deemed it necessary to reward personnel of the Administration who have been making daily sacrifices for the development of the City.

He added that the exercise will spur other staff to step up their service delivery to the FCT administration.

The Permanent Secretary who expressed delight over the invaluable contributions made so far by the staff of the Administration to the growth and development of the FCT over the years said he is particularly elated with the efforts made by the front-line Covid-19 officers which have placed FCT in number one position among all the states of the federation in Covid-19 vaccine administration.

He went on to list some of the advantages prospective organizations stand to benefit by identifying with the project to include: Letter of Recommendation, priority for patronage, mileages in form of branding to the organization, amongst others.

Earlier, the Acting Director of Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Department, Dr. Jumai Ahmadu reeled out the various categories of the awards for beneficiaries of the  2021 Edition of the Staff Recognition Exercise to include: Staff of the Year, Customer Friendly SDAs, Post-humous Recognition of deceased Staff, Outstanding Leadership, Special Recognition, Auxiliary Staff, Public Service Integrity Award, Best Performing Staff from Corporate Bodies and Development Partners, Medal for Exceptional Public Service, Medal of Star of Bravery, etc.

So far, Arab Contractors, Global Civil and Building Construction Nigeria Limited, COAN West Africa and CGC who were present at the meeting have all identified with the project.
