The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue on his 61st birthday, describing him as a fearless, gallant and forthright leader.
The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Saturday also described Ortom as an excellent and focused administrator.
He said that Ortom remained unwavering in his commitment to the wellbeing, security and survival of the people of Benue as well as the unity, stability and development of Nigeria.
“Gov. Ortom stands firm in upholding the truth, justice, application of true federalism and Constitutional Order in spite of unceasing harassment and numerous threats to his life from anti-democratic elements who seek to subjugate the rights and entitlements of Nigerians, particularly the people of Benue State.

“Our Party salutes Governor Ortom’s resilience in steering the ship of Benue State to achieve massive human capital and infrastructural development in critical sectors of the economy despite daunting challenges.”
Ologunagba said that Ortom had continued to display an exceptional sense of patriotism in his roles with other leaders of the PDP in stabilising the Party.
He added that the governor also displayed patriotism in charting the way forward in the mission to rescue and rebuild the nation.
Ologunagba prayed God to continue to protect and grant Ortom many more years in his service to humanity.
