As part of efforts put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the forthcoming Edo State Gubernatorial elections scheduled by the electoral umpire to hold on 21 September, 2024 the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, has ordered Operatives of the Corps to collaborate with other security agencies to enforce compliance on restrictions of vehicular movement.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Distinguished Senator George Akume, has on 20 September, 2024 approved the appointment of 21 Corps Commanders (CC), to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), 11 Deputy Corps Commanders to the rank of Corps Commanders as 17 others got elevated from Assistant Corps Commander to Deputy Corps Commander.
