The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, says it has concluded plans for the election campaigns in 2023.

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the director general of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), spoke to journalists after touring the Atiku Abubakar campaign office in Abuja and announced that the election process will begin today, Monday in Uyo, the capital of the Akwa Ibom state.

 

PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in a post on his official Twitter handle on Sunday night announced his arrival In Uyo for the campaign kick off on Monday, saying that he is very excited and eager to be in the state.

 

Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, his running mate, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, the campaign director general, and numerous other PDP chieftains were also seen arriving for the campaign launch.

 

Earlier, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, stated that the party was prepared to launch issue-based campaigns in advance of the 2023 elections when he announced at a media briefing on Saturday that the party’s presidential campaign will begin on Monday in Uyo.
