The Director General (DG) of Tinubu/Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Council, Chief Tayo Ayinde, on Sunday promised the people of Badagry more development if his principals are voted into power.

Ayinde, who is also the Chief of Staff to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State made the promise at the inauguration of the ABAT-BOS Independent Campaign Group (ICG) in Badagry.
According to the DG, Badagry remains the first point of contact for people coming into the country from the Republic of Benin, Ghana, Togo, and Guinea, among others.
“We will develop Badagry just as we have developed the center of Lagos State.
“Can someone ask me the reason for this? It is simple. Anybody coming into the country will not view the town as Badagry, they will simply say look at Nigeria.
“So, All Progressives Congress (APC) will bring a lot of development to Badagry so that anyone coming into the country will say look how beautiful Nigeria is,” he said.
The DG, impressed by the multitude of people that welcomed him, said Badagry was the only council out of 57 LG/LCDAs that did something great for Tinubu/Sanwo-Olu ICC.
“When someone does something special, what does that person deserve? A special status.
“One thing that is special about Badagry is that when you are supporting someone, there is no going back.
“If you support our candidates-Sen.Bola Tinubu, Gov. Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Idiat Adebule, Sesi Whingah, and other candidates in Badagry and they win, why won’t we consider you more than what we have considered you before?
“Then quote me, Badagry deserves a special status at federal and state levels.
“Because of Badagry, we shut down the ICC office and came to your town. I have come here today with the ICC Chairman and all APC chieftains in Lagos.”
Ayinde said the crowd he saw at the inauguration really surprised him.
“Rest assured that anywhere I am, if they are fixing an appointment, I want to assure you that Badagry will definitely take forerunner.
“I have not come here to cajole you or exaggerate, this is what comes from my mind. Badagry people are important to us.
“What I have seen here today is a commitment that people here are for APC,” he said.
The DG commended Mr. Ibrahim Layode, the lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency 1, in the Lagos State House of Assembly for putting up such a multitude for the party.
Speaking, Layode said the people of Badagry came out to show their love for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu and let the DG know that they were in the mood for elections.
According to him, it is to tell the Tinubu/Sanwo-Olu ICC that they are ready to cast their votes for all the candidates of APC in the coming election.
He said most of them are party faithful that would participate and be vigilant at their polling units during the election.
Layode commended the DG of Tinubu/Sanwo-Olu ICC for coming to Badagry to inaugurate the group, urging them to send souvenirs to them to distribute among the people.
Mr. Solomon Bonu, APC candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly in Badagry Constituency 1, said they were doing everything to ensure victory for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Adebule, and other flagbearers in Badagry.
Traditional rulers, religious bodies, trade associations, top political dignitaries, and Nollywood stars graced the inauguration.
