Ayoku gave the advice on Tuesday in Lokoja in a statement issued by the Police Command image maker, SP Williams Ovye-Aya.
He said people of the state had demonstrated peaceful conduct during the presidential and national assembly elections, as such should not allow themselves to be used by anybody to foment trouble.
“While I commend you all for your peaceful conduct and participation in the Presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday, I wish to strongly warn against any violent protest in the state.
“For conducting yourselves in a peaceful and orderly manner during the just concluded election, speaks volumes of how good and peaceful Kogi people are.
