Mr. Donatus Mathew, the Labour Party House Representative member-elect, representing Kaura Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, on Tuesday, promised inclusive representation irrespective of party differences.

Mathew, who made the promise in an interview with the media in Kaura, thanked the constituent for believing in his capacity to represent them at the Green Chamber.

He said: “That the vision of the youths, women, and the aged people of Kaura Local Government Area is to see a new Kaura and that is what I will try to give them.

“There should be no segregation or division based on party affiliation, religion, or ethnicity. What we want to see as a people is an all-inclusive representative leadership.

“I will adopt the bottom-top approach where the development aspirations and needs of my people will be prioritized.

“By doing so, we will climb to greater heights as one united people”.

He thanked the youths, women, and elders for standing by him, adding that he would not be able to do anything without the support of the people that found him suitable to represent them.

Mathew, a former councilor, appealed for the continued support and guidance needed to help him meet their expectations.

“The people of Kaura have brought me this far, please do not abandon me. Advise me, caution me, and guide me to represent you better.

“Let us work together to bring sanity to our dear local government and bring the dividend of democracy to our people,” he said.

Mathew won the Kaura Federal Constituency seat with 10,508 votes in the Feb. 25 Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

He defeated his closest opponent, Mr. Gideon Gwani of the PDP, the incumbent who garnered 10,297 votes and was seeking the seat for the fifth term.
