2023 elections: Babainna casts vote in Adamawa, hails supporters
Ibrahim Babainna votes in Adamawa

The People’s Redemption Party governorship candidate in Adamawa state, Lt. Cdr. Ibrahim Babainna (rtd) has described all his supporters as the true victors of Saturday’s governorship elections in the state.

He said this after casting his vote at Sarkin Shanu B, PU 008 polling unit in Mayobelwa LGA of Adamawa state.

“Today’s voting marks the end of one phase of the process. All I can say at this point is ‘Alhamdulillah’. To God be the glory. It has been largely peaceful so far here in Adamawa and we are hopeful that the rest of the process will go on smoothly also. We are waiting for the voting to end and are confident that the votes will count.

“The journey has not been easy up to this point but my supporters and all those who believe in the PRP ideology and vision for Adamawa are the true heroes. They have shown great courage and resilience and what it truly means to stand for one’s beliefs. That is the kind of orientation that builds societies.

“It is easy to take the usual route but if those usual routes were really that great, we will not be struggling with all the challenges we are facing today. So once again, I thank them all for their doggedness, dedication and integrity. We will certainly get to see the greater Adamawa we desire in our life times,” Babainna said.

This election is the first one in which the PRP has produced a candidate for the office of Governor of Adamawa state.
