The immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba has been asked to throw his hat into the political ring and contest the next Edo State gubernatorial election.

 

The group, under the auspices of Edo Progress Agenda, EPA, made the call in a Press Release made available to newsmen recently in Benin City and asked the former Minister to immediately declare his interest to participate and contest the next Edo State gubernatorial election.

 

In a statement titled; The Clarion Call, and jointly signed by Comrade Arasomwan Idemudia Innocent and Okumayin Akojimah Ocheche Chairman and Publicly Secretary respectively, the group hinged their call on the excellent performance of the Minister in the last dispensation of President Muhammadu Buhari.

 

 According to the group, "Prince Clem Agba's excellent performance as a Minister of State for Budget and National Planning is a clear demonstration of his capacity, character, commitment and competence". The group further noted that, "... these key elements are very rarely found in an individual. Therefore, we call on all Edo State political leaders and stakeholders holders to implore Prince Clem Agba to join the race and contest the Edo 2024 gubernatorial election."

 

The group also recounted  the laudable projects facilitated by Prince Clem Agba which include but not limited to infrastructural development like Roads construction, provision of Industrial Boreholes, Healthcare facilities, Educational materials, Human Capital Development and Empowerment across the three Senatorial Districts in Edo State.

 

"It is only expedient that all lovers of people-oriented governance and continuous development of Edo State should join hands in the call on Prince Clem Agba to join the race to Edo Osadebe Avenue in 2024."  The group concluded.
