Edo 2024: PDP Governorship Primary Holds February 22, 2024

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the 2024 Edo State Governorship Election. This was disclosed in a letter addressed to the State Chairman, Mr. Tony Aziegbemi.

Th letter dated November 15, 2023, fixed the Primary Election for Thursday February 22, 2024, while the Appeal on the Governorship Primary will hold on February 24, 2024.

The Ward and Local Government Congresses will take place on February 7 and February 10, 2024, respectively.

Part of the letter reads: “I wish to inform that the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the PDP, has approved the Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the upcoming Governorship Election in your State.

“You may recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released its Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the Governorship Election in your state, and from our previous experience, the Directorate of Organization and Mobilization (DOM) has drafted our own timetable which is in conformity with the Commission’s timeline.”

Hon. Umar Bature, National Organizing Secretary of the party added that: “To this effect, you are directed to commence all necessary preparations for a smooth and hitch-free conduct of the Primary Election in line with the constitution and Guidelines of our party.”
