The Edo north PDP senatorial Chairman, Hon. Saiki Samuel Shegun has disassociated himself from a press statement issued by Edo north PDP leaders forum where it condemned the endorsement of Dr Asue Ighodalo.

In a press statement personally signed by Hon. Saiki Samuel, he said it is a rude shock to read an online press statement where they claimed one Saiki Balogun was the senatorial leader and also claimed to have signed the release.

Hon. Saiki stated clearly, " I remain the senatorial Chairman with the name Hon. Saiki Samuel Shegun and that I am not a signatory and was not in the said meeting. I align myself totally with the meeting held at Chief Mike Ogiadomhe's house.

He similarly urged that his name and office should not be used to attract value to a press statement without his prior knowledge.

"I will continue to also make it clear that I believe in the continued reconciliation efforts by the leaders to make the party to continue to control the seat of power in 2024 election.".

The concern of the PDP for now should be to unite the party ahead of the party primaries and the subsequent election he said.
