“I’ll Restore Power to the People,” Says APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Okpebholo

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress and Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured the people of Edo state that he will return power to them once elected as governor.

The APC candidate made this commitment during a courtesy visit to the former Deputy Governor of thestate, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pius Odubu, at his residence in Benin City.

He urged all the leaders present at the meeting, including Distinguished Senator Matthew Urhoghide who represented Edo South Senatorial District at the 9th Assembly, to work towards achieving this goal, emphasizing that it is about the people and not about him personally.

“When elected governor of this state, my administration will operate with an open-door policy, ensuring that everyone is included in governance and local government autonomy is upheld. I will return power to the people. Local governments will be made relevant to the grassroots community members, granting them direct access to their allocations from the Federated Account,” he promised.
