Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, on Wednesday, expressed happiness with the reconciliation between his Gombe counterpart, Inuwa Yahaya and Sen. Danjuma Goje.
Buni, who is also the Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee of APC, stated this in a statement issued by his Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, in Damaturu.
He said that the reconciliation was eventful, as the two political gladiators only met for the first time after they fell out in 2021.
“The successful reconciliation has further stamped the authority of the party in the state.
“The party will continue to explore and exploit ways of amicably resolving differences among stakeholders across the country for a united front, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

“I am indeed very happy with this development. This style will be replicated in other states,” he said.
The governor commended the party’s National Reconciliation Committee, under the leadership of Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, and the ‘untiring commitment’ of its members to settling differences among the stalwarts.
He also commended Yahaya and Goje for placing the party’s interest and that of Gombe over and above their personal interests.
Buni urged the supporters of the two gladiators to help cement the new relationship.
“You must contribute to ensuring a healthy relationship between the two leaders in the interest of the party,” Buni said.
