Convention: Buni says APC ‘ll present a united front
Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state

Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe on Monday assured that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will conduct its February 26 national convention in peace and unity.

Buni is also the Chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party.

In a statement by his Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, in Damaturu, Buni stated this when members of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) paid him a courtesy visit.

He said the problems of the party are  surmountable and did not constitute any threat to its perpetual existence.

“A party as large as the APC with over 41 million membership is bound to have some differing opinions among stakeholders, but it is very surmountable.

“We are on top of the situation and we are optimistic of approaching the National convention and the 2023 general election with a united front,” the governor said.

Buni assured the BCO that the party would partner with it in all its activities.

“The BCO is a very strong organisation with a wide reach out; the party will work closely with you during the convention and general election,” he assured.

Earlier, the Grand Patron of the organization, Sen. Abba Katsina, said the organization is contributing its quota to promote unity in the party.

“We are here to assure you of our total support to a successful convention and the 2023 general election,” he said.
