Voter Registration: PDP chieftain urges community to take advantage of INEC presence and register

Indigenes and residents of Ugbeka community, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo, have been urged to take advantage of INEC presence in the community to do their voter registration.

This is contained in a statement in Benin on Sunday by Mr Chris Nehikhare, the Edo Commissioner for Youths and Humanitarian Affairs.

According to him, INEC officials will be stationed at Evboehighae Primary school from 8am to 3pm daily from Monday to register intending voters and this would be ending on Friday.

He added that accordingly, those who have lost their PVCs or have damaged PVCs or have not registered before or want to transfer their voting centre should please take advantage of the opportunity.

“If you want to transfer or replace your old PVC, please go along with the old one. This call is for all irrespective of your political or religious leaning.

“Those that can assist mobilise eligible registrants should not hesitate to do so. Political and Community leaders should please join in the mobilisation exercise.

“Let’s join hands to make this a resounding success,” Nehikhare said.
