The English Premier League have confirmed that premier league matches will return this weekend but two of most anticipated games will be postponed due to insufficient policing during the 10 days of mourning for Queen Elizabeth.
This decision was taken after English premier League chiefs and stakeholders held a meeting on Monday afternoon to discuss their next steps over scheduling games suspended last weekend.
Decision reached concerning key games such as that of Chelsea versus Liverpool and Manchester United versus Leeds United had to be postponed due to the inability to get the required number of policing staff due to a number of events leading to the weekend as part of the 10 days of mourning.
Meanwhile the Brighton against Crystal Palace clash has already been postponed due to rail strikes - which are now not going ahead.
On the postponement of Manchester United's match at Old Trafford against bitter rivals Leeds United, was down to the dire need for adequate policing as the last time they played there was 900 police on duty.
Presently the Greater Manchester Police has already seen many of their members temporarily redeployed to Scotland or London following the death of the Queen thus the decision to postpone the big derby..
However games involving Nottingham Forest against Fulham on Friday night ,Tottenham's Saturday game against Leicester City and Brentford's derby with Arsenal on Sunday are the seven games given the green light to happen.
