Edo State Cricket Association (ESCA) in collaboration with Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) on Saturday 6th January, 2024 organised ICC Coaching Course Level 1 Practical Assessments for Four (4) of her members at the State High Performance Center; Edo Boys High School, Benin City.
The participants which comprises of Three (3) Men and One (1) Woman, demonstrated high level of competence and understanding of the basics of game and were so passionate on progressing to the next level with a goal of adding values to lives in particular and the system in general.
It is worthy to note that at the end of the assessments which was done in batches, each of them clearly understood the basics of coaching the various skills with adequate knowledge and techniques in demonstrating cum delivery in cricket terminology.
No doubt, they are experienced and have good traits of impacting positively to the growth and development of the game which they are fully involved in for over a decade.

Abraham Oviawe Esq., the Vice Chairman of the Association commended the initiative and encouraged more persons to take advantage of it to be certified for the best interest of the State and Nigeria at large. While Mr. Joseph Okonobo, the Head Coach of the Association, Agharese Okooboh, School Liaison/ Media Officer and Munikat A. Dirisu, Data Officer of the Association were all on ground to witnessed the entire processes.
Not forgetting but appreciating the Eighteen (18) young Girls and Boys who were directly involved in the Assessments processes for their time and patience.
