Governor Makinde receives Super Eagles player who left Europe to rejoin Shooting Stars

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has received Super Eagles player Sunday Faleye who returned to Shooting Stars Soccer Club also known as 3SC from Czech club, Dukla Prague.

Faleye became a professional footballer in Shooting Stars in 2017, and it was pivotal to his development.

Two years later (2019), he moved to Europe and eventually found a spot at Czech club, Dukla Prague in 2021.

Contrary to what many may have thought, Faleye's return to 3Sc is not a demotion in his career.

In fact, it is a loan move that will see him play for Shooting Stars before returning to Czech Republic at the end of the season.

Faleye met with the governor when the management of the club visited him on Thursday.

During the meeting he presented a customized jersey of his Czech club to the governor of Oyo State, it had 'GSM' on it, which means 'Governor Seyi Makinde.'

The governor also presented him with a jersey of Shooting Stars and Sunday - who made his Super Eagles debut in 2018 - and has played 4 games with a goal for Nigeria, appreciated the support from the Governor, Club, and fans worldwide.

It is worthwhile to note that shooting Stars have started this season well, they are currently sixth on the NPFL table.

With the quality of Sunday Faleye, they should accomplish greater things in the NPFL, even though they just returned to topflight.
