Dynamite FC is expected to take on All Stars FC in the first semi-final of the Durumi 3 peace cup on Sunday.
The other semi-final match will see Restoration FC taking on Crystal Selected FC for a place in the final.
To get to the semi-final, Dynamite FC defeated Super Sports by a lone goal in the quarter-final match, while All-Stars defeated Stars United by four goals to two.
Crystal Selected overpowered Talented FC by two straight goals in the other semi-final match played.
The competition started with twenty-four teams registering, and matches were played every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of July before getting to the semi-final stage.
The competition was put together by Coach John Onwudiwe Israel, Uche Lawrence and Okechukwu Nwafor with the sole purpose of engaging the youths of the community so as to take their attention away from any criminal tendencies. This year's edition is the first edition and it is expected that the competition would continue in the coming years.
The competition has so far enjoyed the solid support of majority of the residents as evident by the large number of football fans that turn up to cheer the players during each match.
