National youth leader of the Labour Party (LP) Comrade (Engr.) Eragbe Anslem has said the party's presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, who would prioritize education for the attainment of high literacy level nationwide.

Comrade (Engr.) Eragbe Anslem said this in commemoration of the international literacy day, 2022 themed ‘Transforming the Learning Spaces to Engender Literacy also reminded fellow Nigerians in particular and the world at large of the strict essence of imbibing education and its moral literary philosophies as a matter of human rights, and geared toward national dignity in advancing Nigeria’s literacy agenda for sustainable society.

"Nigerian youths and citizens are encouraged to fully support a presidential candidate that will prioritize education for the attainment of high literacy level across the regions of the country: north east, north-west, north central, south east, south west, south-south geo-political zones.

"Globally, we are in a knowledge era and the socio-political and economic engagements are predicated on the know-how, creativity and ingenuity provided by education and implemented on the platform of information and communication technology, ICT for effective deployment for enhancing teaching and learning for advancing literacy and inclusiveness as fundamental principle of human rights," he said.

Comrade (Engr.) Eragbe Anslem said a new Nigeria is possible as espoused by the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, whose philosophy is to transform Nigeria from consumption to production economy by engaging the numerous sectors of our national life.
