UNIBEN receive N24.4million from students Loan Fund

Authorities of the University of Benin in Edo State have acknowledged the sum of Twenty-Four Million, Four Hundred and Twelve Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N24,412,500), being the payment of school charges and upkeep for Three Hundred and Thirty-Two (332) Students of the University under the Nigerian Education Loans Fund (NELFUND) Scheme.

The University Management's position was contained in a letter with reference number VC.68/02/24/201 dated 11th August 2024 and addressed to “The Managing Director, Nigerian Education Loans Fund (NELFUND) Abuja” by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian I. Salami.

The letter titled “ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF STUDENT’S LOAN FUND”, the University appreciated the Fund’s consideration of her students’ applications and assured it her commitment to the academic success of these students.

“The University commends the laudable effort of the Federal Government to raise the standard of the students and the tertiary education system.”
