The conference which is set to hold from June 2 to June 3 is tagged; “Edves Catalyst 2023: Unleashing the Audacious Potential of Education in Africa”.

Mr Yohanna Bako, Head, Marketing and Communication, said in a statement on Friday, that the conference was to set new standards and shape the trajectory of education across the African continent.

 

According to him, the conference aims to inspire school leaders and teachers to push boundaries, challenge norms, and reimagine the possibilities within the education. sector.

He said the conference would showcase the vast potential of integrating cutting-edge learning tools and innovative approaches into the African education ecosystem.

Bako added that the conference would serve as a transformative platform, bringing together educators, prominent experts, and influential thought leaders from across the continent and beyond.

He noted that the conference, would not only equip attendees with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age but foster meaningful connections and collaboration among education stakeholders.

He listed some of the keynote speakers to include Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, Commissioner for Education, Lagos State;  Prof. Ike Elechi, Professor of Marketing and Strategy, Ebonyi State University; Dr. Peter Chin, Associate Dean, Faculty of Education, Queen’s University Canada.

Other renowned education stakeholders billed for the event are Mutheu Kasanga, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Lukenya University Kenya, Ms Landeka Diamond, District for Metro East Education District in Western Cape, South Africa, Dr Kathy Perkins, Director Phett Interactive Simulations, University of Colorado Boulder USA.

Panelists include Mrs Lai Koiki, CEO of Greensprings Schools, and Yomi Otubela, Proprietor of Lagos Schools and President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS).
