JAMB gives new instruction to candidates of delisted centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has asked candidates who were scheduled to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in delisted centres to print new examination notification slips.

The Board's spokesman, Fabian Benjamin in a terse issued statement asked the candidates to start printing their notifications from Sunday, June 20, for their new schedule date and time.

“This applies only to centres delisted. You will recall that 24 centres were delisted for performing below the tolerable limit of the Board, while over 40 others were put on the watchlist," he said.

The latest directive comes just hours after examination body de-listed 25 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country for poor performance at the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held nationwide on Saturday, June 19.

The de-listed centres were in 11 states and the FCT, with Lagos having the highest at 6, followed by Kaduna 4, Edo 3, Ondo 2, Plateau 2, FCT 2, and Oyo, Osun, Delta, Benue, Imo, Nasarawa, having one each.
