The highly anticipated Big Brother Naija season 6 is starting this weekend and the new season will be hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
The premiere of the sixth season of Africa’s biggest reality TV show is a double launch scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25 respectively.
Both shows will air from 7 pm on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 with a simulcast on all Africa Magic channels.
Multichoice Nigeria, organizers of the show, announced the new twist and additions to the sixth season of the BBNaija.
The firm’s Head of Marketing, Martin Mabutho, said this fresh move is in the organisers’ bid to make the show bigger than the fifth edition.
Mabutho also announced that SMS voting for Housemates will not be available for the sixth edition as all voting will be conducted online as well as through the DStv and GOtv mobile applications.
And for the first time ever, BBNaija fans in the United Kingdom will have access to the live 24/7show via the African online streaming service, Showmax.
Speaking on the premiere of the show, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe said: “With each season of BBNaija we task ourselves on delivering great content that will take the excitement a notch higher and meet the entertainment needs of our customers.
"For this sixth season, we are pulling all the stops to give our customers a show like never seen before from Nigeria with end-to-end production best practices under global health and safety standards”.
The BBNaija season 6 will, according to the organizers, run for 72 days – between July 24 to October 3.
