Grammy 2024: Tyla   beats Burna Boy, Ayra Star, Davido to wins Best African Music Performance

South African first time Grammy Awards nominee, Tyla won the Grammy 2024 for Best African Music Performance Award, for her song ‘Water’, which had over 124 million streams in 2023.

Water made Tyla the highest charting African female soloist ever to make it to the Billboards Hot 100.

The 22-year-old was nominated alongside Nigerian music giants Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Olamide and Ayra Star.
