Nollywood has again been thrown into mourning as it loses its budding actor, Junior Pope.

Reports have it that the actor died from drowning along three of his colleagues while coming back from a movie location in a boat as their boat fell into Anam River in Anambra state.

Information has it that passengers wearing life jacket survived while those without life jacket drowned.

Hours before his death, the actor shared a video of himself taken yesterday in a boat on high speed praying frantically to arrive at his destination safely.

His words, “I’m a father of three boys, captain pls take it easy with speed. I’m the only son in my family, I get three children, na me go train them. O boy my intestine don commot. Oh Jesus, what is this. The water dey hit the under, I hope e no go burst.

"This is the risk we take to entertain you."

Jnr Pope unfortunately.died from drowning as he was on his way back from the location Wednesday, April 10, 2023.

Their bodies have since been recovered.
