The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, has arrested six suspects over the rape of a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl.
State Commandant of the Corp, Muhammad Saleh Dada, who disclosed the development to Journalists at the Command Headquarters in Sokoto State, explained that the case was reported to the Sokoto South local government division of the Corp on 17 October 2022.
He said all the suspects Nasiru Garba, Umar Aliyu, Mustapha Bara’u, Sai’du Dahiru and Rilwanu Usman were matured and conspired among themselves to rape and sodomized the underage 7-year-old boy.

According to the Commandant, all the suspects confessed and admitted to committing the offence.
He urged the judiciary to facilitate the conviction of the suspects as soon as possible to ensure justice for the victims.
