An independent report has indicted Governors Dauda Lawal and Abba Kabir Yusuf of Zamfara and Kano states as major sponsors of the recently held nationwide protests.

The Islamic Movement, also known as the Shiites, on Tuesday, asked the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) to immediately release their members who were arrested for participating in the 2024 Arbaeen Symbolic Trek in Abuja.

Say police allegation is to scapegoat the movement 

The Islamic Movement, also known as the Shiites, has denied killing and attacking police officers on Sunday during their annual Arbaeen Symbolic Trek in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Husain, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
